I Spy Friday featuring Macro

You know when you have those times in life where everything is good,
but something just feels off?  I've been experiencing that for the past week or so.
Nothing major to stress about but I feel antsy and nervous.  I've even been having anger dreams where I'm always yelling at people.  It's frustrating because I can't really put my finger on the cause.  I'm really missing my family, so maybe is homesickness manifesting in a weird way or maybe it's adjusting to not working.
Can anyone relate?  Any suggestions?

We are leaving today for a quick weekend on the beach in Portugal.
Maybe I'll have some quiet time by the pool with a book to unplug and shake it off.
(I realize it's ridiculous to say I'm having a bad day and
I'm going to Portugal in the same breath, but there you go.)

In the mean time, I will leave you with some macro photos.
With the arrival of Spring, it was time to take the camera out into the courtyard
to see what I could come up with.  I hope you like them.

Have a wonderful weekend, my friends.
It's nice to know that you're there, especially on the wonky days.

  1. Gorgeous photos! I can completely relate. It is so bizarre when you can't seem to put a finger on what is bothering you. Being so far from loved ones can really take a tole on you unconciously. It is only now that I have my daughter in London (finally!) that I can breath a sigh of relief. It has been a long time coming and I have you to thank for encouraging me through those homesick times. Have an incredible time in Portugal. Take in some sunshine and enjoy some relaxing time. See you when you get back. xox

  2. I think saying you are feeling down even with fun things are afoot helps, trying to hid it will just make it fester more. With my I often do not realize I am feeling homesick till I am being grumpy and my husband will ask and I am like o yeah that is what it is!

  13. Thank you, Sweet Gina! I'm so excited that you're spending time with your daughter. I understand completely that sigh of relief when they are once again within your sight and arms. I don't think that will ever go away, even when they are 60. I'm loving seeing you & your daughter enjoy London! Have a wonderful time and we'll get together soon when things have quieted down again for a nice long wine lunch!! xoxo
