Mercado de San Miguel in Madrid, Spain

Yep, still here.  I'm busy with life and work.  I'm still traveling when I can and taking tons of photographs.  Not sure if or when I'll ever get around to posting them.  I miss writing so much!  I really need to find a way to make the time in spite of a full-time job and a busy life.  Any suggestions on how you find the time and motivation to write?  In the mean time... I present to you more photos with no context.  Actually...

Wine in Wimberley, Texas

First, thank you so much to those of you that reached out after my last post, and every post I've ever posted.  It meant so much!!  So thank you!  Today I'm finally posting some photos from my travels in Texas.  I live in a suburb of San Antonio.  Between San Antonio and Austin is the gorgeous Texas Hill Country.  I've slowly been visiting some of the lovely little Texas towns located in the Hill Country.

Lunch at Ritorno Chelsea

Guess what?  I've been editing photos!!!  It's been ages.  I was starting to think the blog had run its course and fallen by the wayside.  But change is in the air.  The lead up to the 1 year anniversary to the day the gauntlet fell on my marriage sucked!  So bad.  It stirred up so much shit for me.  But then, lots of self-love (cliche? yes. necessary? definitely), reflection and wrestling with the past.  I also took a really good look at where I am a year later and determined where I needed to make some changes as I move forward.  I feel like I've made it past a very important milestone.  I feel lighter and less foggy.  I feel excited about the future, more in control of my life again.  I've also felt editing photos and maybe even blogging some.   These photos have been sitting in draft form for a year now.  Last year, lovely Fiona from London Unattached invited me to Ritorno in Chelsea to sample their Chelsea Flower Show cocktail and have lunch.  Here are some of the pics I took that day.

Highgate Cemetery London

Wasn't the Royal Wedding beautiful?  After watching it last week, I've been aching for London.  I miss that city so much.  It's definitely time to plan a trip back.  I miss the food, the architecture, the history, the pubs, the museums, the Thames... so much to miss.  Today I'm posting some photos from a visit to Highgate Cemetery that Gina (who I miss so much) and I explored one day.  It's a beautiful and tranquil spot.  I'm glad that I got to check it off my list before I left.

A week in Cyprus

It's a beautiful day today.  I'm home early from work and have the doors open.  It's sunny and in the 70's. Living in Texas in the winter is ideal.  I no longer have that crazy, urgent desire to chase the sun.  No reason to take those late winter trips further south to warm the bones.  Here are some more photos from our week in Cyprus.  Just such a trip... in search of sun and sea.  I certainly found both in Cyprus!

Perast, Montenegro

It's a new year! In recent years, I've done the usual blogger thing.  A post to recap the prior year.  A post to talk about my "word" for the new year and the intentions I've set for myself.  A post to recap the holidays.  A post to lay out my travel plans for the new year.  I always loved the opportunity to look back and look forward.  This year, I'm not going to do that.  It was obviously a rough year.  The past six month have been particularly difficult and I've looked back enough.  I have no idea what the new year has in store and i'm not ready to challenge the fates with a "word" this year.  However, I'm feeling more like myself than i have in ages.  I'm finding my way.  I'm fitting in travel and adventure, while enjoying being so close to my family again. I'm learning the lessons.  I'm laughing again.  I'm hoping the desire to blog again will shortly follow.  But, for today... more photos.
