Meow!

Cats of Morocco

When I was researching our trip to Morocco, I came across a post about the cats of Morocco.
This led me down a bunny kitty trail of cat content.
So, when we got there I was primed to take a photograph of every single cat.
Most of the cats were happy and healthy.
Many were coddled and fed table scraps.  But, there were exceptions.
It broke my heart to see the skinny, sick cats or a dead kitten left forgotten in the street.
After my post on the tanneries, most of the comments were about the pile of sweet kittens.
So, today I'm going to share some more of my favorite Cats of Morocco.

I can't leave out you Dog Lovers.  Not many dogs in Morocco but I did catch a few.

I also managed to get a whole bunch of shoe photos.  Go figure.

We've been drenched lately in London, but in Morocco it's raining cats and dogs.
And shoes.

Have a great weekend!

What do you absolutely have to take pictures of when you're traveling?

  3. I could spend hours every day looking at pictures of cute kitties. Of course in your series of photos I am in love with the ginger kitty in the second photo. Have you ever visited Sherbet & Sparkles ? Charlotte did a lovely photo post on the cats of Instanbul ! http://sherbetandsparkles.wordpress.com/2013/11/19/the-cats-of-istanbul/

  4. I spend most of my time traveling trying to get the street cats to let me pet them, so I loved this post!

  5. Ah! So much cuteness!! (Kitties are my weakness) I especially love the fuzzy white one. It's always interesting to see how animals are integrated & treated in other cultures. It seems to vary so much depending on where you are.

  6. As a recent cat lover, I can definitely appreciate these pictures in their full cuteness!! I just rescued a pregnant cat from the cold, we have appropriately called her Snow and she is getting pretty big now! I couldn't have beared to see all of the poorly and skinny cats though!

  7. Wow! So many cats!! You must go to Saint Andrews, Scotland and find Hamish! He's their famous town cat! He even has a few books about him! What I seem to be drawn to taking photos of is doors. Especially colorful ones.

  8. We are stopping in St. Andrews when we tour with my dad & brother! I'm now on a mission to find Hamish. Doors are always good for a photograph. Whenever I'm inside someplace, I always make a point to look up to see if there are any good shots.

  10. I know. Evey time I see them I want to take in that ridiculous voice that I reserve for pets and babies.

  11. They were so sweet. And very smart. The ones living by restaurants and butcher shops were very healthy. We saw plenty of locals sitting with one or two on their laps giving them a snuggle.
