Life Lately

I'm back.  No, really.  This time I really am back.  I'm finally done with that crazy, daily 4 hour commute to London!  If you follow me on social media, I apologize for all of the ranting.  I can't even tell you how happy I am to be done with that.  My coworkers, I will miss.  That commute, not so much.  Here's a quick little update on what we've been up to lately.

The move went as smoothly as could be expected.  I do miss London, but I love our new place.  There's so much room and a beautiful yard.  My favorite place is the kitchen.  I've been doing lots of cooking, if you can believe that.

I'm also working on that elusive UK driver licenseI'm hoping to get out and do some exploring soon, visit the local yoga studio and find a hair salon.   All of those little things that help you feel settled in a new place.  (If only the weather would cooperate.  It's driving me absolutely nuts with the cold and the rain.)

Chobham is a beautiful little village.  We've met a few of our neighbors, taken a few walks and visited all of the pubs.  I think we're going to like it here. Obviously, the main topic of conversation lately has been the Brexit vote.  I'm completely stunned and very concerned about the short and long-term repercussions.  Between that and the upcoming US election, I'm concerned about the world we are living in.  But that's a whole different discussion.

Look at this sweet little monkey!  Michael will be one in August, can you believe it?  Jessica certainly has her hands full, especially now that she is expecting number 2.  Yep, that's rightBaby Michael is going to be a big brother around Christmas.  The joy of my day is FaceTiming with them.  I'll be visiting in a few months and plan to be there when the new baby is born.  I can't wait to cover them all in kisses.

We've also managed to squeeze in some travel.  We had a great weekend in Budapest, Hungary which we both loved.  I think it's now one of my top three European Capitals.  It has such a great feel to it.

I also was lucky enough to take off to Mykonos, Greece for a getaway with my dear friend Gina.  It was the most incredible four days.  This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen or photographed.  Of course, I'll be posting about both trips soon.

So, that's a little update of what we've been up to over the past few months. Now the plan is to take a little bit of time off of work.  Which means I can devote lots of time to my blog!  I plan to do some clean up, get caught up on our trips and get it back to where I want to be.  I've really missed all of my blogging connections.  If you've stuck around, thank you so much.

What have you been up to lately?
